The Harvard Votes Challenge team wishes everyone health and safety during this difficult time. Now, more than ever, it is imperative that we keep our democracy strong.

## **COVID-19 Guidance**

Given recent [Harvard University policies](https://www.harvard.edu/coronavirus) requiring undergraduate students to vacate on-campus housing and switching to remote learning as a response to COVID-19, students and other Harvard community members who have moved may need to make additional preparations to assure they can vote. More detailed guidance on getting counted [can be viewed here](/news/getting-counted-harvard-community-covid-19-and-2020-census).

## **Upcoming Primaries**

HVC recommends that all members of the Harvard community stay updated about shifting primary dates and methods of voting. Updates to individual state primaries [can be found via Vote.org](https://www.vote.org/covid-19/). We also recommend checking [your state’s election office website](https:/www.democracy.works/state-links#state-election-website).

If you requested an absentee ballot to your Harvard address that did not arrive before you left campus, use [Harvard’s mail forwarding service](http://hums.harvard.edu/mail-delivery/student-mail-forwarding) to send it to your new location.

If you’d rather vote in person, call [your local election office](https://www.democracy.works/state-links#election-authority) to find out what steps you need to take.

If you need to register and/or request an absentee ballot, or are looking for other voter resources, [visit our website](/voteschallenge.harvard.edu/voting).

Please reach out to the Harvard Votes Challenge team at <voteschallenge@harvard.edu> with any questions.
