Be a Voter

Register to vote, decide what voting method works for you, request and absentee ballot or confirm ID laws and your polling place, and finally vote

I need to register to vote

You will need to register to vote if you have you moved since the last election, recently turned 18 years old, or are registering for the first time. Be sure to get registered before your state voter registration deadline.

I am already registered to vote

Great! If you already registered to vote but plan to vote by mail (absentee voting) make sure you request your absentee ballot ahead of your state’s deadline.

Find resources from various voting partners to help you vote on Election Day.

Harvard Votes Challenge endeavours to keep this information accurate and updated. We encourage you to verify your individual state election rules and deadlines. For questions or issues with the registration process, please contact voteschallenge@harvard.edu.
